In your role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional health, allowing you to gauge their needs accurately.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans through collaborative discussions with clients, ensuring the plans reflect their goals.
• Provide therapy sessions that address a variety of concerns, ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship conflicts and parenting challenges.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions, helping partners improve their communication skills, resolve disputes, and foster stronger bonds.
• Regularly evaluate and adapt treatment plans based on client progress and evolving needs, ensuring that care remains relevant and effective.
• Maintain meticulous documentation through electronic health record systems, detailing client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Engage in interdisciplinary communication with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to every client.
• Respond promptly to clients in crisis, delivering immediate interventions when necessary and coordinating with emergency services when appropriate.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in marriage and family therapy practices through ongoing education and professional development.
• Advocate for clients’ rights, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their mental health treatment and exploring additional resources as needed.

Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, including teens, adults, and couples from various backgrounds. You will work with individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. Our focus is on creating a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere that allows clients to express themselves freely while working towards their mental health goals.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida.
• Strong skills in conducting timely psychological assessments, along with developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate electronic health record systems effectively.

While not required, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Previous experience providing therapy to both individual clients and couples.
