Job description

Logistics - CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE (Part-Time, approx 16 hours weekends)

**This vacancy is for weekend coverage to support Central Time Zone from 0800-1700, Saturdays and Sundays.**

The Logistics Customer Care Representative will play an integral role in the daily execution of our business and ensuring we are providing superior customer service. This will be done by track and tracing shipments, creating new orders in our TMS, scheduling appointments, collecting carrier paperwork, auditing invoices, and communicating any issues with the rest of the team or external stakeholders for resolution among other duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Make check calls to carriers and provide service updates as necessary.

● Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers.

● Communicate any service failures and problem solve for any service issues when applicable.

● Respond to customer, carrier, or internal team members inquiries.

● Accurately build shipments and maintain up to date information in the TMS.

● Obtain invoices and POD’s from carriers after shipments deliver

● Approve vendor invoices

● Provide documentation to customers as requested.

● Act as a backup or secondary customer contact when the account manager is out of the office.

● Perform any other duties as required or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES:

● High school diploma or GED

● (1) one to (3) three years’ experience in the transportation industry or

● 1) one to (3) three years’ experience in a customer service role.

● A winning attitude and entrepreneurial spirit

● Strong verbal and written communication skills

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills

● Maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations

● Must be able to work independently or in a team environment

● Exceptional customer service with a sense of urgency

● Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn various computer systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Compensation-Hourly Range based on location and experience -$20.00-$22.00/Hour.
