We are actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join the Advanced Medical Therapeutic Clinic team. In this full-time remote position, you will engage in telehealth services, utilizing technology to provide essential mental health support to our patients. Your role will encompass evaluating client needs, crafting tailored treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that can significantly impact patient recovery and well-being.

Work Environment

Your work will be performed remotely, providing flexibility while maintaining a professional telehealth setting. While the primary hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be necessary to meet the varied needs of our patients. You will have the flexibility to modify your schedule as necessary to accommodate individual patient therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to discern patients' psychological status, identifying their specific therapeutic needs.
  • Design and execute personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique challenges and recovery goals.
  • Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing emotional difficulties, fostering personal development, and improving coping mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care.
  • Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, utilizing your training to help stabilize patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, discussing treatment strategies and community resources available for further support.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education sessions to enhance your professional knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include a diverse array of individuals experiencing mental health challenges associated with anxiety, stress, trauma, and mood disorders. You'll work closely with patients from varying backgrounds and age groups, providing compassionate and individualized care tailored to their circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to provide effective counseling.
  • Strong comprehension of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and trauma-informed care practices.
