Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to understand each client’s mental health needs, creating personalized treatment plans based on these assessments.
• Providing ongoing counseling services, including individual, group, and family therapy, using evidence-based practices to promote positive outcomes.
• Ensuring medication management by assisting clients with medication prompts, refills, and adherence reminders, while monitoring their overall health and well-being.
• Teaching essential life skills, such as effective budgeting, meal planning, and grocery shopping to support clients in achieving greater independence.
• Transporting clients for medical appointments and teaching them to utilize public transportation effectively to build their confidence.
• Documenting all client interactions accurately and promptly in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care, including regular communication and participation in team meetings.
• Implementing safety protocols and acting as a positive role model to promote a safe therapeutic environment.

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse clientele that includes individuals from various multicultural backgrounds, addressing the unique challenges and aspirations they face. The clinic is dedicated to empowering clients through personalized counseling strategies that respect their cultural contexts and foster meaningful change.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or an equivalent field.
• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) within California.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other digital communication tools to maintain client records and collaborate with colleagues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
• A self-directed work ethic, demonstrating the ability to operate independently and responsibly without direct supervision.

Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred, although not mandatory. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and prior involvement in community health initiatives will be advantageous. Experience working in a remote environment is also a plus.
