Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations of clients, utilizing standardized tools and personalized interviews to inform treatment planning.
• Create and implement individualized therapy plans that apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client's specific requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to establish measurable therapeutic goals, tracking and adjusting strategies based on their progress and feedback throughout the treatment journey.
• Provide teletherapy services for clients preferring or necessitating virtual consultations, ensuring their accessibility to mental health support without geographical barriers.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards, thereby enhancing the quality of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities including workshops, training sessions, and peer consultations to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health counselor at Alta Med, you will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, and other mental health challenges. You will be crucial in crafting tailored treatment experiences that can significantly alter the life trajectories of clients, particularly those navigating significant barriers to care.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to cultivate trusting therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring clinical responsibilities and administrative duties are met without sacrificing client care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a school setting or with educational institutions, providing mental health support tailored to the educational context.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with children and adolescents, facilitating family therapy, or conducting group therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and the ability to utilize technology and digital resources to enhance client communication and engagement.

• Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually based on your experience and caseload.
