The Citrus Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and the documentation of treatment progress from the initial consultation to conclusion.
• Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health status, using evidence-based tools and methodologies.
• Develop and implement comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to engage clients effectively.
• Monitor client progress continually throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to establish and execute integrated intervention plans.
• Proactively follow up with psychiatrists for clients requiring medication management and those who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify barriers to recovery, implementing strategies to mitigate any behaviors or environmental factors that may impede progress.
• Offer support and guidance to family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage their loved ones' mental health challenges effectively.

Our client base is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and experiences, including those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction disorders. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia is essential to practice.
• A valid passing score in relevant examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating proficiency in clinical practice.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience in managing clients with co-occurring physical and mental health issues, as well as substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• In-depth understanding of medications prescribed for mental health conditions and their implications in treatment plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities for effective client interactions.

The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, complemented by a signing bonus.
