Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain credentialing and re-credentialing in accordance with client facility policy and procedure, Joint Commission standards, State and Federal Regulatory regulations. This will include but not limited to the following verifications:
    • Board Certification; Residency/ Fellowship training
    • Medical License
    • State and Federal DEA, as applicable
    • National Practitioner Data Bank
    • Peer Recommendations
    • Criminal background check
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding the following:
    • Direct and facilitateclinical practitioneronboarding process through facilitation of the Clinician medical staff application process as outlined by respective Client site.
    • Evaluate prospective practitioner credentials for placement suitability at hospital client within reasonable timeframes.
    • Identify and evaluate potential red flags and work in collaboration with practitioner to document the issue and healthcare provider response.
    • Identify issues withclinical practitioners or clients and communicate any issues timely to the team.
    • Initiate and coordinate Risk Review Process.
    • Recommend action regardingclinical practitioneronboarding.
    • Work with MSL-CPA, as needed, to arrange primary and/or supervising collaboration with medical and/or Nursing boards.
    • Anticipateand remedypotential delays inclinical practitioneronboarding.
  • Monitor collection of all information received; follow up on missing items and/or incomplete forms, submit follow up requests for verifications as needed.
  • Advise Manager of questionable information received, and any issues identified during the processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained.
  • Promote and enforce data integrity.
  • Work with MSL Leads to:
    • Increase standardization across department.
    • Improve and adhere to processes.
    • Provide feedback on systems.
  • Maintain accurate database information.
  • Communicate frequently with internal and external customers.
  • Function as liaison between Company,clinical practitioner, and Client
  • Provide consistent and thorough updates toclinical practitioner, regional team, and Client.
  • Manage and updateclinicalpractitionerexpirable.
  • Facilitate reappointment process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years' experience in a healthcare setting in CVO, Hospital, Private Practice, or healthcare management company.
  • Previous experience with Health Care Provider (HCP) credentialing and re-credentialing, a plus.
  • Previous experience with Medical and Nursing Boards, a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce, DocuSign, and Conga Action Grid.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • CPCS, a plus.

PRIMARY LOCATION:

  • SCP office in Lafayette, LA; Traverse City, MI; Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA
  • If outside of an office radius listed above, will consider remote candidates.

Pay Range:

18.00 - 26.00 USD per hour

This range represents the anticipated base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
