Astria Health is seeking a Clinic Documentation Specialist to join our team! This is a remote position.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

What you get to do every day!

As the Clinic Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible tfor processing incoming requests and documentation in a timely manner. The Specialist works to fully protect the privacy and security of all patient's medical records regardless of format, to ensure that confidentiality is maintained in accordance to Washington State and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) Act. You will:

  • Manage a high volume of incoming electronic fax (HylaFAX) documents, ensuring timely review, processing, and routing to the appropriate patient record, provider, clinic, or work queue.
  • Accurately import, index, and attach documentation to the appropriate patient medical record while maintaining established quality and timeliness standards.
  • Review incoming documentation for duplicate, redundant, incomplete, misdirected, or unnecessary information and takes appropriate action to maintain an accurate and organized patient record.
  • Apply established workflows to identify and prioritize time-sensitive or actionable documentation requiring provider or care team review while minimizing unnecessary or duplicative provider notifications.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, security, accuracy, and integrity of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adhere to the core values and standards of the organization.
