• Develop individualized therapy plans for clients using comprehensive evaluations to address their specific needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing various methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client care that includes updates and case discussions.
• Maintain current and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements, using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Participate in ongoing training workshops and professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest mental health research and best practices.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Norton Mental Health, you will work primarily with individuals and families who face a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in reducing barriers to accessing care and improving overall mental health outcomes in the community, working to meet the unique needs of diverse populations.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
• A solid understanding of ethical and legal standards in counseling practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Experience in effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and relevant technological tools essential for maintaining client records.

• At least two years of clinical counseling experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
• Specialization in specific areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, or substance use disorder treatment is highly valued.
