Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, utilizing telehealth technology to conduct counseling sessions with clients. As part of our team, you will enjoy a flexible working schedule that allows you to organize your own hours and manage up to 25 clients each week. We provide comprehensive administrative support, including receptionist services, billing, and credentialing, so you can focus your energy on your clients rather than paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for your clients.
  • Providing crisis intervention services when deemed therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintaining consistent therapeutic sessions, offering bi-weekly check-ins and termination sessions as needed.
  • Documenting client interactions and treatment plans utilizing various computer software while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Engaging in collaboration with fellow counselors for consultation and supervision, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Making ethical decisions that prioritize client welfare while considering safety concerns, especially in rural settings.
  • Accommodating the therapeutic needs of diverse client populations including adults, children/adolescents, and families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

We serve adults, children, adolescents, and family units, providing tailored interventions aimed at fostering healing. Our counselors utilize evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, allowing for a comprehensive approach to mental health that acknowledges the complexities of trauma.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who hold one or more of the following licenses:
