The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily in a remote outpatient office setting, facilitating a flexible work-life balance. Our clinic utilizes a state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring that therapists can efficiently document patient progress and provide continuity of care. Team meetings and supervision sessions will be conducted virtually, fostering a collaborative culture despite the distance.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to evaluate their mental health status and inform treatment decisions.
• Design and implement individualized therapy plans addressing specific patient issues, incorporating various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based interventions.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individually and in group formats, adapting approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients.
• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide referrals to psychiatrists or other healthcare providers when clients require medication management or specialized care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, patient interactions, and treatment plans within the EHR system, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.

The ideal Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and eating disorders. You will be responsible for employing a culturally responsive approach to therapy, recognizing and valuing the unique experiences of each client. Our clinic supports clients from various backgrounds, aiming to create an inclusive therapeutic environment.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Acurrent, valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of mental health disorders.
• Ability to utilize evidence-based treatment methodologies and a commitment to ongoing education and clinical excellence.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a trusting relationship with clients.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and proficiency with computer applications related to therapy documentation.
• Dedication to ethical guidelines and maintaining professional boundaries.

While the minimum requirement is two years of related experience, candidates with extensive backgrounds in individual and group therapy, crisis intervention skills, and a deep understanding of various therapeutic frameworks will thrive in this role. Experience working with specific populations, such as LGBTQ+ individuals or cultural minority groups, is highly valued.

We offer a competitive salary range ranging from USD 100,000 per year for full-time positions. Part-time opportunities may offer a pro-rated salary of USD 52,000 per year. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
