Job description

About HPC International

HPC International is the leading purchased-services supplier of educational resources for healthcare organizations. For over 25 years, we have helped hospitals and health systems centralize, standardize, and reduce annual spending on continuing education, research, and purchased services. Hospitals and health systems in America invest millions of dollars annually on education initiatives and knowledge resources and HPCโ€™s mission is to help clients leverage their education spend to free up hidden capital in their education budgets. We achieve that by introducing them to the HPC Education Management Platform, where clients routinely uncover six-figure annual savings.

Our integrated Education Management Platform includes three core services: HPC Education Manager (education expense management and oversight), HPC Librarian (expert virtual medical librarian support and evidence-based research), and HPC BookSource (book and training-product distribution, book management, and subscription management). All solutions are built to โ€œdrop inโ€ with no complex configuration, so clients can focus on improving educational outcomes while we manage the rest.

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven Sales Associate to drive consultative sales of HPCโ€™s Education Management solutions across hospitals and health systems. This is a multi-faceted role: you will prospect and close new business, expand relationships within existing accounts by cross-selling Education Manager, Librarian, and BookSource, and cultivate HPCโ€™s Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) partnerships to generate member referrals. You will be the consultative voice that helps healthcare education and library leaders understand how HPC centralizes spending, improves oversight, and delivers measurable cost savings. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across experience levels โ€” what matters most is consultative selling ability and a genuine interest in healthcare education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new hospital and health-system opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound leads, networking, and referrals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Grow and expand existing accounts by cross-selling and upselling across the platformโ€™s three core services.
  • Manage and strengthen HPCโ€™s Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships โ€” including Vizient, HealthTrust, and Premier โ€” by building rapport with GPO account management teams and securing referrals to the members they serve directly.
  • Conduct consultative discovery calls to uncover each organizationโ€™s education spend, oversight gaps, and savings opportunities, then map HPC solutions to those needs.
  • Deliver compelling virtual demos and presentations of Education Manager, Librarian, and BookSource to clinical, education, library, and finance stakeholders.
  • Build and quantify a value/ROI case showing how HPC reduces overspending and centralizes purchased services.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and activity records in HubSpot, our CRM.
  • Collaborate closely with implementation, account management, and librarian teams to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term client success.
  • Stay current on healthcare education trends, continuing-education requirements, and the competitive landscape.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quota and activity targets.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and virtual-presentation communication.
  • Comfort managing a full sales cycle and a self-directed pipeline in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales-intelligence tools (e.g., HubSpot, ZoomInfo) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting targets (in sales or another performance-driven setting).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior B2B sales experience in healthcare, SaaS, education, library/information services, or purchased services.
  • Familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations (e.g., Vizient, HealthTrust, Premier) and the GPO referral/contracting process.
  • Familiarity selling into hospitals or health systems and to clinical, education, library, or finance/procurement decision-makers.
  • Experience with solution or value-based selling methodologies.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent practical experience.
What We Offer
  • Fully remote work. Some travel will be required. Prefer candidate live in the Mid-West.
  • Competitive base salary plus commission/incentive structure.
  • Comprehensive benefit package
  • A mission-driven culture focused on improving healthcare education and patient care.
  • The opportunity to sell a differentiated, integrated platform with a clear, quantifiable ROI story.
Please Include the following with your Application
  • Your resume
  • Your salary requirements

We are looking to hire a new Sales Associate with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. Candidates who advance to the final stage of the hiring process will be required to participate in an in-person interview with our leadership team.
