This position provides high level administrative support for the Tax Team. We are looking for an experienced individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of the team. This role will be vitally important to the success of day-to-day operations and organization of the department. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules is essential in this position. The ideal candidate is resourceful, an excellent problem solver and very organized. Assuring completion of projects and assignments in a timely manner is key to success in this position. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize the diversified workload.ย 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department.ย 
  • Deliver tax returns, extensions and estimates in both electronic and paper formatย 
  • Preparation of zero extensions in tax softwareย 
  • e-Filing of tax returnsย 
  • Coordination of receipt of signed e-File authorizationsย 
  • Preparing and proofreading correspondence to include client engagement letters and response letters to the IRS and various tax authoritiesย 
  • Possess a general understanding of invoicing and reporting in a professional services environment ย 
  • Preparation of expense reportsย 
  • Handling confidential correspondence and files and new client set upย 
  • Coordinating and managing workflow with the teamย 
  • Managing due date reporting for meeting IRS/Tax authorities deadlineย 
  • Management of partner prospects and leadsย 
  • Reporting in various programs ย 
  • Creation of reports in Microsoft Excel with the ability to format, create intermediate formulas, charts, and graphs
Qualifications:
  • 5+years Administrative Experience; experience in a Tax Practice is a plusย 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel. More importantly, the ability to be resourceful in learning Excel features and formulasย 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Power Point and Wordย 
  • Technology Savvyย 
  • Great interpersonal skillsย 
  • Skilled at managing upwardsย 
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiencyย 
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced and time sensitive office environmentย

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.ย
