We are actively hiring for a Commercial Pricing Actuary (Mobility) - Remote!

Your Role: As a Commercial Pricing Actuarial Consultant, you will prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating. You will support individual account pricing, perform portfolio ratemaking analyses, and lead projects of moderate complexity.

This role is posted as a level V Actuarial Analyst. However, we are open to levels IV - V for this role.

Your Work:

  • Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
  • Conducts actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop recommendations for pricing
  • Evaluates analytical work done by others and makes decisions and recommendations that take into account internal and external environment.
  • Documents assumptions, methods, sources and considerations in an organized fashion
  • Prepares actuarial findings and documents that are suitable for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participates in peer reviews to increase collaboration, ensure quality work and drive innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support
  • Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools
  • Provides mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues
  • Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis
  • Develops and analyzes new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
  • Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing role
  • Have a solid understanding of the market landscape
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.

The national average salary range for this position is $122,850.00-$136,500.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $122,850.00-$164,000.00.
