The Opportunityย 

Sterlington not only documentsย deals,ย weย cut deals for clients. As part of that, we play somethingย closeย to a financial / banker role in analyzing deal structures and executive compensation arrangements.ย We are looking for someoneย who can help us model and understand transactions and executive compensation arrangements from a numerical perspective. Our philosophy is that we need peopleย trained to thinkย logically and systematically,ย and equipped toย operateย with modernย analysisย toolsย (highย expertiseย in AI modeling and Excel).ย 

This role sits at the intersection ofย math, finance, law, and business, and is designed for someone who is intellectually rigorous and genuinely enjoys untangling complexity. You will work directly with theย head of the corporate / M&A practice,ย and senior partnersย in those practices.ย 

This is a rare opportunity for a mathematicallyย and financiallyย disciplined thinker whoย combinesย first-principles reasoning with AI fluency, applying both to high-stakes, real-world situations alongside individualsย operatingย at the highest levels of decision-making.ย

  • Integrateย AI-assisted workflowsย into your day-to-day work to enhance speed, depth, and accuracy of analysis
  • Analyze and model complex business, executive compensation, structure and financial arrangements to extractย underlying economic logic and value drivers
  • Map ownership, incentive, and value-distribution structures across multiple scenariosย 
  • Stress-test assumptions and identifyย points of economic sensitivity and hidden risk
  • Build and refine analytical models and frameworks used on live client matters
  • Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled analytical practicesย within the firmย

  • Prior experience in law is not required.ย
