Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Engage actively in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary learning sessions to stay abreast of best practices in mental health.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver direct services, including comprehensive behavioral health assessments, counseling sessions, and case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.
• Collaborate with members of the prenatal care team, including medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants, ensuring clients receive holistic and integrated care.
• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups in conjunction with birth workers, enhancing the educational resources available to clients.
• Promote community engagement initiatives that focus on holistic wellness and the creation of supportive networks among birthing individuals and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes specialized care for Black birthing families, a demographic that has historically faced disparities in healthcare access and outcomes. Your work will contribute to transforming their experiences through tailored mental health support, education, and advocacy. By addressing the unique challenges faced by this population, you play a crucial role in improving their overall well-being and fostering community resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse and interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a successful caseload while requesting support when needed to enhance client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with maternal mental health and the specific challenges faced by birthing individuals.
• Familiarity with telehealth systems and electronic health record management.
• Previous involvement in community engagement and support initiatives related to mental health and perinatal education.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000–130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, our benefits package includes:
