Job Description

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key by identifying and onboarding potential Medical Institutions into the Milestone One network, while actively promoting their capabilities and engaged investigators to sponsors and CROs. 

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive new trial opportunities that align with site capabilities, facilitating the implementation of clinical trials at network institutions, and building strong, strategic relationships with sponsors to expand Milestone One’s presence in the clinical research landscape.   

In this role, you will: 

  • Identify potential Medical Institutions that meet Milestone One's collaboration criteria. 

  • Initiates outreach to Medical Institutions to explore their interest in collaborating with Milestone One, aiming to build early engagement and qualify interest effectively. 

  • Conduct introductory meetings with prospective Medical Institutions to assess their research capabilities, infrastructure, and areas of interest. 

  • Coordinate documentation and information required to evaluate Medical Institutions for potential collaboration. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, CROs, biopharma partners, and Medical Institutions to support business development activities. 

  • Works closely with the Site Relationship Associates to facilitate site identification, development and then successful placement of clinical trials. 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining site profiles to enable efficient trial matching. 

  • Promote the capabilities of Medical Institutions within the Milestone One network to sponsors and CROs. 

  • Communicate the benefits of partnering with Milestone One, including operational support and site readiness. 

  • Identify investigators interested in participating in clinical research and support their engagement within the network. 

  • Identify new clinical trial opportunities aligned with the capabilities of collaborating Medical Institutions. 

  • Support the implementation of new clinical trials in collaboration with internal teams and Medical Institutions. 

  • Provide additional business development support as required to facilitate successful collaborations.

Qualifications

Education: College or university degree in a life science or other medical-related field. 

Certifications: ICH GCP training 

What You Need: 

  • 3 years of experience within the clinical research industry. 

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with key stakeholders in the clinical research industry (Sponsor, BioPharma, and CRO) 

  • Previous experience in business development, site relationship management, or stakeholder engagement within the clinical research industry. 

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, site operations, and sponsor/CRO collaboration models. 

  • Experience developing and maintaining long-term professional relationships with industry stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to identify growth opportunities and support partnership development. 

  • Experience working with site networks or site-enabled research models is considered a plus. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Fluent in English. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities. 

  • Results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet research tools. 

  • Valid Category B driver's license.
