Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to inform individualized therapy strategies, ensuring that each clientโ€™s treatment plan aligns with their specific needs and treatment goals.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy to address and mitigate various mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, families, and groups, maintaining a client-centered approach that encourages open dialogue and trust.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care and continuous support throughout the client's therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with mental health research and trends, participating in workshops, training, and peer supervision as required.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with clients and a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities tailored to varied client needs.
