• Conduct in-depth assessments and screenings of students to evaluate their mental health status, determining individual needs and initiating appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each student's goals and challenges, ensuring a tailored approach to their mental health journey.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, leveraging evidence-based practices to promote engagement and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with school staff, including educators and administrators, to create a supportive network around each student and ensure integrated care.
• Provide educational resources and support to families, encouraging their involvement in the treatment process for enhanced outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Our Mental Health Counselors serve a diverse population of students within the school setting. Clients may range from those experiencing mild anxiety to those struggling with severe psychological challenges. As such, our approach to therapy is tailored to meet a variety of unique needs, fostering an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and heard.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based practices applicable to a range of mental health disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Experience working in school settings or with children and adolescents is highly valued, as it promotes understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention techniques, and culturally responsive methodologies will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
