Job description

Description 

Our Health and Benefits business helps large and mid-size clients control health and welfare plan costs, improve health outcomes and promote employee engagement through broad-based, state-of-the-art interventions. We provide solutions encompassing creative plan design, vendor evaluation and management, pricing and funding strategies, data analytics, valuation support, compliance and governance strategies. We also provide Specialty consulting services including clinical/health management program design, pharmacy solutions, disability/absence management strategies and claims audit services. Product based solutions such as our pharmacy purchasing coalition round out our broad-based suite of offerings. 

The Role 


This role will support the growth of voluntary insurance consulting opportunities across the U.S. Southeast region. The position will partner closely with the Senior Director, serving as a subject matter expert across new business development, go-to-market strategy, service design, and the ongoing management of voluntary benefit solutions for WTW clients. 

Responsibilities include executing and evolving the regional growth and sales strategy, with a strong focus on continuous refinement of the voluntary benefits product offering. Key operational activities involve designing and scaling the infrastructure required to support effective client delivery, including training and enabling Health & Benefits consultants, fostering cross-line-of-business collaboration, and coordinating with external partners and carrier partners to ensure seamless execution. 

Performance Objectives: 

Clients 

    • Lead and manage multiple client engagements 

    • Partner with the Senior Director to drive Voluntary Benefits marking and sales efforts for region 

    • Provide consulting guidance to clients regarding a multi-year voluntary plan. Work with Senior Director on client strategy and execution 

    • Support health and benefits colleagues in the strategic assessment and sales preparation for WTW prospects 

Excellence 

  • Coordinate with VB business development support team to ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations and professional excellence standards 

  • Ensure quality of deliverables and enforcement of critical deadlines through effective communication 

Financial 

  • Review / manage sales pipeline and ongoing commission information 

  • Reconcile commissions and revenue to plan 

People 

  • Build relationships with internal and external resources 

  • Share feedback with business development support team 

  • Additional projects as assigned

The Requirements 

  • Minimum 5 years in insurance industry 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field 

  • Hold a valid insurance license or be willing to obtain 

  • Practical knowledge of Voluntary Benefits market 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

  • Service-oriented mindset 

  • Ability to travel - approximately 20% 

  • This role will be on a remote set-up

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only). 

Compensation 

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000-$120,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
