What is a remote marketing communications professional?

A Remote Marketing Communications professional is someone who creates, manages, and distributes marketing content and messaging for a company while working from a location outside the traditional office. Their responsibilities often include writing press releases, developing communication strategies, managing social media, and coordinating campaigns—all using digital tools and platforms. Remote roles allow these professionals to collaborate with team members and stakeholders from anywhere, providing flexibility and access to a wider talent pool. Effective communication, strong writing skills, and digital proficiency are essential for success in this role.

What are remote marketing communications jobs?

In a remote marketing communications job, you may handle a wide range of responsibilities related to the advertising strategy of a company or organization. You may work as a remote marketing communications manager, where your duties include creating and implementing a project strategy, overseeing marketing efforts, assisting with budget decisions, coordinating with agency partners and outside vendors, and ensuring staff meets all deadlines. There are also opportunities as a remote marketing communications specialist, where you write and develop a visual project. In this position, you act as the PR between the products and the consumer, creating a brand and marketing materials.

We're looking for a true builder who is comfortable being the entire marketing department. This is a highly hands on individual contributor role where you'll personally develop the strategy, build the systems, execute campaigns, create positioning and thought leadership, optimize LLM visibility and AI search presence, and generate pipeline from the ground up.

The ideal candidate has built marketing for an early stage B2B SaaS or MarTech company that sells products or services to ecommerce brands. You should have personally built and scaled affiliate, creator, influencer, referral, or partnership programs while owning GTM strategy, positioning, and measurable revenue growth.

Candidates from marketing agencies are welcome if they have personally built and run marketing programs for B2B SaaS or MarTech clients selling to ecommerce brands, owned the GTM strategy, and were accountable for pipeline and revenue results.

Job Description

We're looking for someone who can establish the company as the category leader in AI powered partnership marketing through exceptional positioning, founder thought leadership, content, AI driven marketing, and measurable pipeline generation.

You will be responsible for generating qualified pipeline and revenue growth through affiliate, partnership, creator, influencer, referral, and ecosystem marketing. Success in this role will be measured by qualified opportunities created, marketing sourced pipeline, revenue influenced, LLM visibility, and the repeatability of the marketing systems you build.

You will be responsible for:

NOTE: This is a highly hands on Individual Contributor role. You will personally build the marketing function, develop the strategy, execute campaigns, recruit and grow partners, create content, and measure results. This is not a people management role, and success will come from your own execution rather than managing agencies, freelancers, or a large team.

  • Build the company's marketing function from the ground up, creating scalable systems, processes, and GTM strategy.
  • Build and scale affiliate, creator, influencer, referral, partnership, and ecosystem programs by personally recruiting, enabling, activating, and growing strategic partners.
  • Generate qualified pipeline for the sales team and own accountability for marketing sourced pipeline, revenue, and ROI.
  • Own marketing budget allocation, channel strategy, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Build repeatable acquisition systems that reduce dependence on founder led growth.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, founder thought leadership, website content, and category defining content that establishes the company as the leader in AI powered partnership marketing.
  • Build SEO, AEO, and LLM visibility strategies that increase discoverability and drive measurable pipeline growth.
  • Use AI and automation to improve execution speed, increase output, and build scalable marketing workflows.
  • Partner closely with leadership on GTM strategy, product positioning, revenue targets, pipeline goals, and forecasting.
  • Market directly to ecommerce brands, DTC brands, agencies, and other companies operating within the ecommerce ecosystem.
Qualifications

Candidates whose experience is primarily in general demand generation, paid media, brand marketing, product marketing, lifecycle marketing, healthcare marketing, or industry partnerships without deep affiliate, creator, influencer, referral, or ecommerce partnership ecosystem experience are not a fit.

  • 5 to 10+ years of hands on B2B marketing experience (B2B SaaS or MarTech company selling products or services to ecommerce brands.)
  • Experience owning the full marketing function or serving as one of the earliest marketing hires, with responsibility for GTM strategy, positioning, messaging, pipeline generation, and marketing execution.
  • Deep experience personally building and scaling affiliate, creator, influencer, referral, and partnership programs, including partner recruitment, enablement, activation, and measurable revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of generating qualified pipeline and revenue through partnership led marketing, with ownership of marketing sourced pipeline, revenue, forecasting, and ROI.
  • Experience creating founder thought leadership, category positioning, website messaging, and content that establishes a company as a market leader.
  • Demonstrated experience building marketing systems, processes, and GTM programs from scratch in a fast moving startup environment with a strong builder mentality.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, LLM visibility, AI search optimization, and how software buyers discover products through AI powered search.
  • AI first operator who uses tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms as part of their daily workflow to research, create content, automate work, and execute faster.
  • Highly hands on individual contributor who still personally executes strategy, content, campaigns, and partner programs rather than primarily managing agencies, freelancers, or large teams.
