ASSISTANT REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - EASTERN U.S. (Remote)
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000/Annually (Base Salary + Commissions)
Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt
Territory: East Region
Work Location: Remote/Home Office - Candidates must reside within the Eastern United Staes (Eastern Time Zone preferred) with extensive travel throughout the assigned region.
Travel Requirements: Up to 75%, some possibly local to your home
IMPORTANT: Although this position is part of the Corporate Sales team, it is a remote, field-based position supporting sales centers throughout the East Region. Candidates must reside in the Eastern United States. This position is not based in Chandler, Arizona.

Position Summary

The Assistant Regional Sales Manager (ARSM) partners with the Regional Sales Manager to support the leadership, sales performance, and operational success of 8-10 sales centers within an assigned territory. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM). This role provides additional leadership, coaching, and support to General Managers and sales teams in the field and is responsible for helping achieve sales objectives, operational standards, customer experience expectations, and financial targets throughout the region. The ARSM helps ensure company objectives, policies, and processes are executed consistently. This role requires sound leadership, coaching, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop high performing teams that drive sustainable results. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who effectively balances sales leadership, operational support, talent development, customer experience, and strategic planning while assisting the Regional Sales Manager in overseeing multiple locations.
This position supports sales centers located throughout the Eastern United States; therefore, candidates must reside within the assigned territory to effectively support field operations and travel requirements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Regional Leadership & Team Development

  • Assist Regional Sales Manager in leading, coaching, and developing General Managers and sales teams.
  • Support sales performance and the achievement of company objectives.
  • Partner with General Managers to foster a culture of accountability for sales growth, customer satisfaction, employee morale, and expense control.
  • Coach General Managers and sales teams on core sales processes, including phone calls, customer engagement, follow-up strategies, and closing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the RSM to develop and execute performance improvement plans.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
  • Visit assigned locations regularly
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, development, and retention efforts.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including lead generation, appointments, conversion rates, backlog, closings, cancellations, and gross profit.
  • Ensure execution of company sales promotions, programs, and initiatives.

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor deal flow, contract accuracy, customer timelines, and backlogs.
  • Assist in resolving challenges impacting customers, sales performance, and team members.
  • Monitor sales centers websites to ensure accuracy, quality and consistency to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and safety expectations.

Customer Experience

  • Promote a customer-first culture.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and service standards.
  • Assist with resolution of escalated customer concerns and complex service issues.
  • Confirm customers receive professional, timely, and consistent communication throughout the home-buying process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and strengthen the company's reputation within each market

Financial & Business Management

  • Monitor home inventories, display furniture and décor, and location expenses.
  • Review location scorecards, performance metrics, and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in developing annual sales goals, forecasts, and business plans.

Communication & Corporate Partnership

  • Serve as a communication liaison between assigned sales centers, the Regional Sales Manager, and corporate departments.
  • Communicate Company objectives, initiatives, policies, and expectations, to field leadership.

Leadership Development & Special Projects

  • Serve as acting Regional Sales Manager during temporary absences.
  • Assist with leadership development, training initiatives, and special projects.
  • Provide additional support to locations experiencing leadership transitions or performance challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressive retail sales leadership experience, including experience coaching, leading and developing sales teams.
  • Experience managing a retail sales center, branch, or multi-location operation preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout region, some day trips, some overnight
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders and high-performing teams.
  • Understanding of financial matters.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to analyze business performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and reporting systems.
  • Manufactured housing home sales, retail management, or related industry experience a plus
  • Candidate must reside within the Eastern United States. Residency within the Eastern Time Zone is strongly preferred to effectively support assigned sales centers.
