Job description

LHH is partnering with a global leader in the manufacturing of composites, coatings, and chemical intermediates on a search for an Account Manager - Coatings (Western Region). This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market share throughout an assigned territory. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while identifying new business opportunities and implementing sales strategies that increase profitability and long-term account growth. This position offers the opportunity to work with a respected industry leader serving diverse markets including industrial, transportation, construction, marine, medical, and consumer goods. Base salary offered between $120K - $150K + 10% bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned sales territory with a focus on increasing revenue, profitability, and overall account performance.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business within key accounts.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and strategic account development activities.
  • Partner with customer decision-makers to understand business needs and provide value-added solutions.
  • Create and execute territory plans, sales forecasts, and account strategies that support business growth objectives.
  • Lead initiatives designed to increase market penetration, improve margins, and drive product adoption within the territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and fellow Account Managers to support large and strategic customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, customer records, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales, technical sales, account management, or related industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of the coatings industry and related manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated success developing customer relationships, managing territories, and achieving sales growth objectives.
  • Experience with sales planning, forecasting, account strategy development, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience utilizing Excel, including pivot tables, to evaluate sales performance and business trends.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and CRM-based sales processes is preferred.
