Sales Consultant - End User - Tampa, FL
The End User Sales Consultant will develop and maintain relationships with end users in education, healthcare, government, and other commercial markets to influence Allegion's market share for commercial hardware and electronic security solutions. As a strong collaborator, you will work closely with internal teams-such as specifications and electronics experts-as well as key industry stakeholders. This role primarily focuses on supporting the end user as a trusted business partner to maximize market share through coordination, demand creation, and strategy sessions. At Allegion, we take a consultative approach to selling in a team environment, because we know our teams win together.

What You Will Do:
Sales & Business Development
  • Hunt and Farm: Act with a hunter mentality to continuously identify new business opportunities, while maintaining and growing relationships with current end-users to achieve annual goals.
  • Pipeline Management: Effectively manage and prioritize your sales pipeline to maximize territory growth.
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the full sales cycle through effective team collaboration and accurate, up-to-date reporting in our CRM system.

Consultation & Customer Success
  • Consultative Approach: Utilize a "listen-first" strategy to deeply understand customer challenges and position the best Allegion solutions for their specific applications.
  • Product & Tool Training: Drive the adoption of Allegion's customer-facing digital tools. Ensure customers and partners are adequately trained on new and existing hardware and software solutions.

Market Strategy & Continuous Improvement
  • Industry Expertise: Maintain a strategic understanding of market conditions and competitive activity. Adapt to marketplace changes and leverage social networking to stay engaged with industry trends.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in factory training sessions to achieve and maintain industry-leading knowledge in mechanical and electronic security solutions.
  • Corporate Culture: Embody Allegion's core values daily and ensure compliance with all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with industry experience (door hardware, access control, or physical security) highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate autonomously to consistently meet or exceed goals.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn mechanical and electronic security solutions, ranging from basic access/egress control to total facility integration (including an intermediate understanding of electricity and electronic components).
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proven ability to influence decision-makers and a strong bias for action.
  • Commitment to growth, demonstrating a strong openness to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Travel requirement: Ability to travel up to 20% within the assigned territory.
  • Location: Candidate must live within the Greater Tampa, FL market to effectively call on customers.
