Position Summary

UNDIVIDED is seeking a strategic, relational, and highly organized Director of Individual Giving to lead and grow our individual fundraising program. This role will oversee annual giving strategy, donor stewardship, recurring giving, and major donor engagement while supporting broader development operations and organizational fundraising goals.


The Director of Individual Giving will play a critical leadership role in building a sustainable culture of philanthropy at UNDIVIDED through thoughtful donor experiences, data-informed strategy, and collaborative fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable with managing campaigns, stewarding donors, analyzing fundraising performance, and collaborating across teams in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities


Individual Giving Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Lead and execute UNDIVIDED's individual giving strategy by increasing the number of individual donors and amount of annual individual donations through monthly donations and major gifts
  • Support the organization's strategic fundraising objectives by developing and implementing donor engagement strategies designed to increase the individual donor base from approximately 130 donors toward organizational targets of 250 donors in 2026 and 500 donors by the end of 2027.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen donor cultivation, stewardship, and participant engagement efforts that contribute to organizational revenue goals of $400,000 in individual giving in 2026 and $750,000 by the end of 2027.
  • Develop and manage multi-channel annual giving campaigns including email, direct mail, digital, peer-to-peer, and social fundraising efforts for annual giving
  • Manage and strengthen donor stewardship systems to deepen donor engagement and long-term support.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support and manage the Major Gifts program, including donor cultivation and relationship management.
  • Identify opportunities to grow donor acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through segmentation and donor journey strategies.
  • Ensure timely and meaningful donor acknowledgment, receipts, and stewardship touch points.


Cultivate a Culture of Donor Development for Staff and Board

  • Set and execute regular rhythms of fundraising training and support with UNDIVIDED staff individually and collectively

  • Work with each staff member and board member to set goals and execute toward their goals for their fundraising each year
  • Support other staff and stakeholders in communication and engagement with potential and existing donors


Development Operations & Data Management

  • Oversee development systems, internal processes, and fundraising technologies to support revenue goals.
  • Manage donor records and reporting within the organization's CRM platform
  • Ensure effective gift processing, reconciliation, and annual tax documentation practices.
  • Track fundraising performance metrics and generate reports to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate donor data and support prospect research and pipeline development.
  • Support for grant proposals and reports


Qualifications


Required

  • Deep commitment to the mission and values of UNDIVIDED.
  • Minimum 5 years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience, with significant experience in individual giving, annual campaigns, or donor engagement.
  • Demonstrated success meeting fundraising revenue goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including donor-facing communications and storytelling.
  • Experience managing fundraising databases/CRMs and using donor data to inform strategy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, donor events, or organizational gatherings.


Preferred

  • Experience with grassroots fundraising, relational organizing, or community-centered fundraising practices.
  • Understanding of donor segmentation, donor journeys, and fundraising analytics.
  • Experience supporting or managing major gifts and institutional fundraising efforts.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and donor engagement.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, FundraiseUp, or similar donor management and fundraising platforms.
