About the role:

As a Principal Fuel Solutions Engineer, you will lead your department and engineering teams in identifying, developing, and offering products and services that provide our utility customers with solutions to their technical problems. You will define and offer customer solutions in the areas within Fuel Engineering. You will lead the preparation of complex offers spanning multiple years to address our customers\' needs and strategic projects.

You will report to the Fuel Engineering Services Product Solutions Manager. This is a remote opportunity within the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the generation and implementation of the Fuel Engineering Services product strategy which will require translation into the Fuel Hardware and Engineering Solutions portfolio plan.
  • Establish a basic technical understanding of Fuel Engineering products and maintain product related databases.
  • Forecast financials and resource demand opportunities and incorporate creative technologies and cost improvement goals.
  • Identify unmet customer needs, develop and guide strategic solutions to create customer value and satisfy industry regulatory needs.
  • Work with internal organizations and customers to grow the Fuel Engineering Services business with Fuel Business Managers.
  • Support Fuel Engineering product development stage gates and technical roadmaps.
  • Develop business cases to justify innovation investments have a positive return on investment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Six or more years technical or customer-oriented experience.
  • Proficient in SAP to review data and run reports.
  • Expertise in taking abstract concepts and divergent information to present data, and sort, manipulate and analyze information from different reporting formats.
  • Collaborate with different levels within the organization and across business segment boundaries.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with the offer/marketing process (technical descriptions, cost estimates, risk assessments, commercial opportunity database).

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
