• Conduct remote counseling sessions via video conferencing platforms, delivering care to individuals, couples, families, or support groups as necessary.
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, in a manner tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assure patient confidentiality by adhering to established ethical guidelines and standards of practice, and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including oncologists and nurses, to provide comprehensive support and integrated care for patients.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health treatment.
• Participate in support group facilitation, providing patients and their caregivers a platform to share experiences and gain emotional support from peers.

Your primary focus will be on cancer patients and their families, who may face various challenges including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and complex grief. You will provide compassionate care throughout their treatment journey—alongside their medical teams—fostering an environment of understanding and hope. By addressing psychosocial concerns, you will significantly impact their quality of life and resilience during challenging times.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• No history of medical malpractice claims, confirmed by a third-party verification.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient in utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver effective therapeutic services.

• Previous experience working with oncology patients or in a healthcare setting focused on chronic illness.
• Familiarity with community resources that support cancer patients and their families.
• Experience with various therapeutic approaches to address a wide range of mental health issues.
