To address these challenges, it's important to use secure, reliable telehealth platforms, create a private workspace, and regularly check in with clients about their comfort and experience during sessions. Ongoing professional development in teletherapy best practices can also help remote LPCCs provide effective and ethical care.

What are Remote LPCCs?

Remote LPCCs are Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors who provide mental health counseling and therapy services virtually, typically through video calls, phone calls, or online platforms. These professionals hold the required state licensure for clinical counseling and are qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of emotional and mental health issues. Remote LPCCs offer flexibility and accessibility for clients who may not be able to attend in-person sessions, and they follow the same ethical and legal guidelines as counselors who work on-site. Their services can include individual, group, or family counseling, and they often work with diverse populations.
