Job description

About the role

The Tripadvisor Group connects people to experiences worth sharing, and aims to be the world's most trusted source for travel and experiences. We leverage our brands, technology, and capabilities to connect our global audience with partners through rich content, travel guidance, and two-sided marketplaces for experiences, accommodations, restaurants, and other travel categories. The subsidiaries of Tripadvisor, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIP), include a portfolio of travel brands and businesses, including Tripadvisor, Viator, and TheFork

We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager, Loyalty to grow and strengthen our rewards programs across Tripadvisor and Viator - someone who can set strategic direction and execute against it. This role is 100% dedicated to Loyalty and works closely with product, engineering, analytics, and CRM. You'll move between strategy, campaign execution, and analysis depending on what the work needs day to day.

Location: East Coast- United States

What You'll Do

  • Own the loyalty marketing strategy. Define and evolve the Tripadvisor Rewards value proposition and tiering strategy, and shape how the program shows up to members.
  • Run the campaign engine. Plan and execute always-on and calendared campaigns - Welcome Offer optimization, sales events (e.g., Travel Deal Tuesday), sweepstakes, challenges, and partner-funded promotions - across paid and owned channels.
  • Lead cross-functionally. Drive alignment with product, engineering, design, and analytics to test and launch new program mechanics, from offer targeting to member perks.
  • Build the business case with data. Use booking and program data - member behavior, redemption, tier progression, holdout/incrementality results - to prioritize what to build next and prove out ROI to leadership.
  • Measure what matters. Work with analytics to run and interpret holdout/control tests, and translate results into clear go/no-go calls and next steps.
  • Benchmark the competition. Track best-in-class loyalty programs (e.g., Starbucks, Nike, Sephora) to inform our approach to tiering, gamification, and member value.
  • Do the work at every level. Set strategy one day, brief creative or QA an offer the next.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience working across the full spectrum from strategy to execution - in travel, e-commerce, subscription, or retail. You are equally able to build a program vision and ship a campaign.
  • A track record of product marketing work - translating product capabilities into clear member-facing value propositions and go-to-market plans.
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with data - either in partnership with analytics and data science teams or working independently - to define metrics and interpret test results. You should be able to pull your own data using AI tools and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset
  • A proven track record of cross-functional leadership - driving alignment and momentum across product, engineering, design, analytics, and CRM in a fast-paced, iterative environment; comfort operating with ambiguity and evolving scope.
  • A bias for action and comfort working with limited resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to flex between an executive-level strategy narrative and a detailed campaign brief.
  • Skilled at using AI tools to speed up research, analysis, and automate tasks in your day-to-day work.

Nice to have

  • Experience in loyalty or membership programs and an understanding of program economics and performance
  • Familiarity with marketplace/two-sided dynamics (e.g., supplier- or partner-funded offers).
  • Experience at a tech company.
  • Experience in travel, experiences, or marketplace businesses.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation packages (routinely benchmarked against the latest industry data), including base salary and annual bonuses
  • "Work your way" with flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Tripadvisor Group takes a remote-friendly approach to collaboration across a worldwide team, with the option to join on-site as often as you'd like or as required by your team.
  • Flexible schedule. Work-life balance is ingrained in our culture by design. Trust and accountability make it work.
  • Donation matching. Give back? Give more! We match qualifying charitable donations annually.
  • Tuition assistance. Want to level up your career? We love to hear it! Receive annual support for qualified programs.
  • Lifestyle benefit. An annual benefit to spend on yourself. Use it on travel, wellness, or whatever suits you.
  • Travel perks. We believe that travel is employee development, so we provide discounts and more.
  • Employee assistance program. We're here for you with resources and programs to help you through life's challenges.
  • Health benefits. We offer great coverage and competitive premiums.
  • Generous referral scheme. Help us grow and be rewarded with generous awards for referring successful candidates.

Our Cultural Pillars:

Traveler first

We exist to create value for our customer, the traveler. We enable our suppliers and partners to unlock this value. Their collective behaviors and insights are what drives us.

Execution is our edge

We act fast, experiment, learn from failure, iterate, and improve the solutions of tomorrow across every aspect of our business. Our execution is agile, data-driven, prioritised, and built to scale. We assume no problem is someone else's problem and finish what can be done today, knowing tomorrow will bring fresh challenges.

We succeed together

The best outcomes are driven by empathic, humble, and diverse subject matter experts working toward shared goals. We collaborate relentlessly, challenge assumptions, give actionable feedback, and set each other up for success through empowered teams with a clear charter. We transparently take ownership of our growth, individually and as a team. We celebrate the quality of our effort, our learnings, and our collective achievements.

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee's pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.

We strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all candidates. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or the recruiting process, please make sure to reach out to your individual recruiter or our team at AccessibleRecruiting@tripadvisor.com.
