This position plays a key role in modernization efforts, including leveraging AI capabilities and secure coding best practices. Location Hybrid role based in Bradenton, Florida. Relocation assistance may be considered.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain application and system integrations, including APIs, services, and event-driven processes Support data flows between merchandising systems, store applications, cloud services, and enterprise platforms Collaborate with product owners and business partners to analyze user stories and translate them into technical solutions Apply secure coding practices, performance optimization, and clean architecture principles Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support Mentor other developers, including both local and offshore team members Contribute to AI-driven transformation initiatives to improve team productivity and code quality Troubleshoot and diagnose integration or application issues to ensure reliability and stability Maintain and enhance monitoring dashboards and participate in on-call support as needed Drive continuous improvement in code quality, architecture, and development processes Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications 7–10 years of experience in data integration or backend services development Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and event-based integrations Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python Hands-on experience with cloud integration technologies, preferably Azure including Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage, and API Management Strong experience with SSIS, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment, and configuration management Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts such as SQL Server and Oracle Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development quality and efficiency Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to diagnose issues across applications, integrations, and data flows Preferred Qualifications Experience working in retail, ideally apparel retail Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, and pipelines Exposure to enterprise data platforms such as Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, or similar cloud data technologies Experience with integration patterns such as Pub/Sub, message queues, SOAP, or enterprise service buses Background developing or supporting merchandising, inventory, POS, or related retail systems Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
