Job description

About Cleerly

We're Cleerly – a healthcare company that's revolutionizing how heart disease is diagnosed, treated, and tracked. We were founded in 2017 by one of the world's leading cardiologists and are a growing team of world-class engineering, operations, medical affairs, marketing, and sales leaders. We raised $223M in Series C funding in 2022 which has enabled rapid growth and continued support of our mission. In December 2024 we received an additional $106M in a Series C extension funding. Most of our teams work remotely and have access to our offices in Denver, Colorado, New, York, New York, Dallas, Texas, and Lisbon, Portugal with some roles requiring you to be on-site in a location.

Cleerly has created a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly's solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world's largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person's risk of heart attacks.

At Cleerly, we collaborate digitally and use a wide variety of systems. Our people use Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom Video, prior experience in these areas is a plus. Role or department specific technology needs may vary and will be listed as requirements in the job description.

While we are mostly a remote company, travel is required for some team meetings and cross function projects typically once per month or once per quarter, for some roles like sales or external facing roles travel could be up to 90% of the time.
Cleerly is committed to providing safe and effective medical software that meets customer needs and our intended use. The adherence to all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements establishes a clear framework for setting measurable quality objectives. Our commitment to continually improving our products and processes proactively manages risks, ensuring ongoing compliance throughout the entire software lifecycle. Understanding this role's relevance and importance is critical to achieving Cleerly's quality objectives.

About the Opportunity

Cleerly is looking for a data-driven, business-minded Sales Operations professional who can bring absolute clarity to complex reporting, usage data, and compensation structures. This person will thrive at the intersection of systems, process, and strategy, connecting disparate data across multiple systems, uncovering revenue insights, and driving operational excellence across the entire Commercial organization.

The ideal candidate is uniquely data-literate; you don't just build dashboards, you love digging into the data pipeline to find discrepancies, ensure 100% commission and reporting accuracy, and explain what the numbers mean to executives and sales reps alike.

Responsibilities

  • Commission Management & Execution: Own the data validation, calculation, and end-to-end execution of quarterly commercial commission plans across multiple complex structures (including consumption/usage-based models).
  • Data Reconciliation & Stewardship: Serve as the primary bridge between Salesforce (CRM) and Looker (product consumption data). Identify and manually resolve mapping discrepancies to ensure data accuracy before commissions are finalized and reported.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Develop, maintain, and interpret high-impact reports across Salesforce and Looker for diverse audiences, including Sales leadership, C-Suite executives, Board members, and Investors.
  • Storytelling through Analytics: Collect and synthesize data from multiple sources to tell a clear business story, identifying trends, gaps, and growth opportunities across the commercial pipeline.
  • KPI & Metric Tracking: Partner with Sales, Sales Ops, and leadership to define, automate, and track key business health metrics, pipeline quality, and recurring board-level performance reports.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Assist leadership with commercial planning, data modeling, forecasting, quota disbursement, and territory scenario modeling.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to have conversations with a wide array of audiences including sales representatives, executives, and other internal teams at Cleerly. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Due to the nature of a fast paced, high growth organization, many functions of the role require critical thinking and problem solving skills to be able to provide reports or complete requests. There will not always be step by step instructions or a mapped out process to follow. The ability to figure out these challenges is crucial to being successful in this role.
  • Root-Cause Data Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on gaps that may exist between Salesforce, Looker, and billing systems and implement processes to ensure these gaps are eliminated for the future.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Operations.
  • Data & BI Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and modern business intelligence tools (Looker preferred, Tableau, PowerBI). Ability to audit and trace data gaps between platforms is a must.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Strong Salesforce user skills (reporting, dashboards, custom views, pipeline analysis).
  • Analytical Translation: Proven ability to translate complex, messy, or technical datasets into actionable strategic insights and clean data for non-technical partners.
  • Execution & Rigor: Extreme attention to detail with an audit-focused mindset. Comfortable managing multiple tight deadlines (especially around quarter-end close cycles) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of MedTech, consumption/usage-based pricing structures, or healthcare technology commercial models is highly preferred.
  • Self Motivated, Critical Thinker: Must be able to proactively complete recurring job requirements, as well as proactively seek additional needs of the business. Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, documentation, or follow up from management.
  • Business Logic Intuition: Ability to spot when outputs "feel off" based on business logic, rather than waiting for the sales team or leadership to point out a discrepancy.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Proven track record of diving into unmapped data sets with operational challenges, figuring out the "why", and delivering a structured solution with minimal direction.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • SQL Foundations: Basic to intermediate SQL skills to directly query data warehouses or troubleshoot data discrepancies at the source.
  • Advanced Salesforce Ecosystem: Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Advanced Forecasting, and territory design tools.
  • Compensation Software: Exposure to Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, QuotaPath, Everstage).

Compensation

The base salary range for this role varies by location and is aligned to market benchmarks.

  • Candidates located in higher-cost labor markets, including California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC represent the middle to high end of the range, while candidates located in all other U.S. locations represent the low to middle end of the range.
  • Final compensation is determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.

This role is eligible for a 10% target annual bonus, resulting in the following base salary and Total Target Compensation (TTC) ranges:

  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $115,000
  • TTC: $99,000 - $126,500
