Description

Our direct client is seeking an experienced Senior Epic Revenue Cycle Project Manager to support a large-scale, enterprise-wide Epic implementation initiative. This highly visible role will initially lead Revenue Cycle workstreams and may expand to support broader Epic implementation activities across clinical, operational, and technical domains.

The Project Manager will partner with executive leadership, operational stakeholders, application teams, consultants, and Epic advisors to drive successful project planning, execution, go-live, and stabilization activities. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in one of the organization''s most significant healthcare transformation initiatives.

Weโ€™re seeking a strong healthcare IT leader with deep Revenue Cycle experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to drive complex Epic initiatives to successful outcomes in fast-paced healthcare environments.

This is a mostly remote role, with occasional on-site meetings in the Philadelphia metro area.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead Epic Revenue Cycle workstreams from planning through go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across clinical, operational, technical, and vendor organizations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, governance committees, and executive status reporting.
  • Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure alignment across application, infrastructure, and operational teams.
  • Support testing, conversion planning, cutover execution, command center operations, and stabilization activities.
  • Drive accountability and execution across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Collaborate closely with Epic advisors, application analysts, and organizational leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation and communicate project status, decisions, and outcomes to leadership.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, or professional equivalent, is required.
  • 5+ years of hospital / healthcare project management experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and best practices.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, steering committees, and governance groups.
  • Experience in one or more of the following Revenue Cycle areas is required:
    • Patient Access
    • Registration
    • Scheduling
    • Billing
    • Claims Management
    • Revenue Cycle Operations
    • Reporting and Analytics
    • Data Management

Preferred Qualification:

  • Epic implementation, upgrade, optimization, or migration experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Epic transformation initiatives.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience working within healthcare provider organizations or integrated health systems.
