As an Independent Freight Agent, you will play an important role in growing freight activity through your existing customer relationships while working through a platform built to support independent operators. This role is well suited to someone who values autonomy, wants to scale their book of business, and can work effectively across customers, carriers, and brokerage support partners.

Responsibilities
  • Manage freight across the full cradle-to-grave brokerage process.
  • Move freight across North American lanes, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Handle full truckload, LTL, reefer, flatbed, and drayage freight.
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure coverage and support successful load execution.

Requirements

  • At least one active shipper customer with regular load activity
  • 6+ months Independent Freight Agent experience OR 2+ years logistics sales and dispatch experience
  • Comfortable operating as a 1099 contractor
  • Brokerage MC handling cradle-to-grave experience
  • Hands-on experience using freight brokerage tools and platforms, including TMS systems, load boards, carrier tools, DAT, Truckstop, and Loadstop
  • Experience handling full truckload, LTL, reefer, flatbed, and drayage freight, including negotiating with carriers
  • Based in the U.S. with experience moving freight across U.S., Canada, and Mexico lanes
