Work Environment

This role offers the unique advantage of 100% remote work, allowing you to schedule your hours flexibly, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our virtual platform is designed to facilitate seamless interactions between counselors and clients, ensuring that you can deliver therapy effectively while maintaining your preferred work conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct live video therapy sessions that emphasize evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and integrated assessment tools to create detailed treatment plans that promote effective patient engagement and monitoring.
• Participate in regular peer consultation meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and enhance therapeutic techniques.
• Continuously pursue professional development and training opportunities to remain current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Guiding Light Therapy, you will engage with a diverse client population affected by various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related disorders. Your role will involve understanding each client’s unique background, including cultural, social, and economic factors, to provide personalized and culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active state license in Florida, such as LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling is required, with at least 1 year of independent practice preferred.
• Strong proficiency in CBT and familiarity with other structured therapy modalities is desired.
• Ability to effectively assess and adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual client needs and preferences.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a remote or telehealth environment is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with EMR systems specifically designed for mental health practices.
• A record of engaging with diverse populations and addressing complex mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 110,000 per year, along with performance-based incentives.
