These roles are common in caregiving, property management, or personal assistant positions where a physical presence is needed for certain tasks, but much of the work can be done online. The arrangement usually covers housing as part of compensation. It allows for flexibility in work location while ensuring the employee is available on-site as required.

Job description

Position Overview

Brightside Health is seeking a dedicated and licensed professional counselor (LPC) who will provide crucial mental health services via a flexible telehealth platform. In this full-time role, you will leverage evidence-based treatments to support adults facing a variety of emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise and compassionate care will play a vital role in improving the well-being of our members while working remotely from the comfort of your own home.

About the Organization

Brightside Health is committed to enhancing mental health care through a combination of scientific evidence and empathetic support. Our innovative telehealth model utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as its foundation, allowing for a combination of live video sessions and self-guided interactive content. We pride ourselves on having a culturally responsive approach, ensuring that our counselors provide personalized and meaningful care to each individual we serve.

Work Environment

This fully remote role allows you to maintain a flexible schedule while you work with clients through our advanced telehealth platform. With no on-call responsibilities, you have the freedom to design your working hours throughout the week. You will benefit from user-friendly digital tools, including an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system that streamlines documentation, facilitates progress monitoring, and ensures efficient communication with colleagues and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular, evidence-based therapy sessions with adult clients experiencing various emotional disorders, utilizing techniques grounded in the Unified Protocol.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with Brightside's psychiatric team as well as fellow counselors, fostering a network of support and comprehensive treatment for our clients.

  • Implement and adjust treatment plans based on self-assessments, goal progress measures, and real-time feedback from clients.

  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation through our sophisticated counselor portal, ensuring adherence to compliance and quality standards.

  • Participate in weekly drop-in consultation sessions for additional support and professional development from the Therapy Leadership Team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults grappling with a broad spectrum of emotional difficulties, from anxiety and depression to other complex mental health issues. Our members benefit from a framework of care that emphasizes proactive engagement, as Brightside successfully delivers high response and remission rates for depression through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.

  • Active and valid licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in your state.

  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with telehealth services and an understanding of how to effectively engage clients in a virtual setting.

  • Familiarity with the Unified Protocol and evidence-based therapy approaches, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

  • Previous training in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS) is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD $100,000 to $105,000 annually. Benefits include comprehensive malpractice coverage, customizable electronic medical record systems that boost productivity, and operational support that allows you to focus on patient care. Our flexibility extends to allowing both 1099 and W2 employment models, providing options based on your preferences and state regulations.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Brightside Health, we prioritize the professional development of our counselors. You can take advantage of free monthly continuing education trainings (CEUs) and receive ongoing mentorship and support through regular consultations with clinical leadership. There is abundant opportunity for career advancement and specialization in various therapeutic modalities.

Why Join Our Team
