Job description

Calling all those who love helping others to enjoy an adventure!
About Our Company:
HigherRing is the ethical outsourcing partner for socially responsible companies. We harness business as a force for good and partner with impact organizations to lighten their load and further their purpose. We create remote, impact employment where our team members and clients are valued and supported in their efforts to advance us all toward a more sustainable world. HigherRing is a B Corp, climate-neutral certified with The Change Climate Project, and a 1% for the Planet member.
We Are Hiring For a Seasonal Position:
Tuesday - Saturday (7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Pacific) - June 26 - Sept. 12, 2026
(subject to change)
The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and living wage in your area.
Role Description:
If you're a self-motivated, analytical thinker who enjoys helping others, come put your skills to use on a fast-paced, energetic work-from-home team!
  • You will help coordinate outdoor travel stays, manage customer relationships and questions, and work with site hosts to provide excellent customer service for a client who specializes in unique private property and public campsites, RV parks, treehouses, cabins, etc., for outdoor adventures.
  • Most inquiries will be via email with phone and chat, so strong speaking and writing skills are a MUST. There will also be voicemails to respond to.
  • Confidence in making decisions and working through customer tickets autonomously is crucial.
  • You will be working directly with our client and providing back-office support (from your home), so smart win-win communications skills and computer expertise are also important.
  • Be ready to take on additional support and operational tasks and responsibilities in various systems.
  • You have flexibility with your schedule for the busiest parts of the season (Fourth of July and Labor Day).
  • You must be detail-oriented, able to juggle many responsibilities with various timelines, and skilled at working in multiple Chrome tabs at once.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk and Slack is a plus.

What About You?
  • Enjoy helping people and forming connections?
  • Prefer working from home?
  • Want to be part of a fun and supportive virtual team?
  • Looking for an employer that wants to grow you along with the company?

IMPORTANT: Our systems require a direct ethernet cable connection and strong Internet bandwidth: 50 Mbps download speed or faster and 5 Mbps upload from a reliable provider
Please check your speed at www.speedtest.net before applying to ensure they meet our minimums.
To ensure the security of client data, team members may NOT use satellite, cell phone hot spots, public networks, or Wi-Fi connections. Depending on the team, VPN may not be allowed.
Our Competitive Benefits Package Includes:
  • Employee (not contractor) status at an exciting, mission-driven company
  • Paid training
  • Option to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance programs (we cover 80+% of the basic plan premium)
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% match contribution
  • Paid sick leave
  • A financial wellness and coaching program - 0% loans to help pay down debt
  • An opportunity to work from home, reducing your carbon footprint, commute time and expense, and wardrobe and food costs!
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement - our entire management team started in a call center environment!
  • A fast-paced work environment where employee input is valued, and where mutual respect and camaraderie are a significant part of our culture.

Further, we are looking for people who want to use their power for good and we advocate as a business for pro-social/inclusive policies with elected officials and to bring awareness to our team. We believe in a woman's right to choose, that everyone deserves to be able to vote easily, that guns should be regulated with at least the same laws applicable to car ownership (licensing and insurance), that we should be vaccinated and wear masks during a pandemic, that white supremacy is a past and growing problem, that humans are responsible for climate change and that it presents a clear and present danger to life on this earth. If those concepts don't align with your worldview, we may not be the employer for you.
