The Position

Wilson Elser is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join a Discovery Team that supports an international logistics client as National Discovery Counsel. This is a flexible position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative, technology-driven environment while supporting attorneys and the client across multiple offices and jurisdictions. The role serves as a key resource throughout the discovery phase of the litigation lifecycle. The Senior Litigation Paralegal will play an integral role in working with attorneys to prepare draft discovery responses using state-of-the art technology, helping manage large-scale document productions, overseeing discovery workflows, and leveraging technology-assisted discovery solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the written discovery phases of litigation under the direction of attorneys.
  • Utilize Technology-Assisted Discovery and Technology-Assisted Review tools, analytics, and eDiscovery platforms.
  • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and quality control of discovery databases, document repositories, and evidentiary records to ensure accuracy, defensibility, and compliance with litigation protocols.
  • Assist litigation discovery efforts by identifying, reviewing, organizing, and producing both physical and electronically stored information in response to discovery obligations.
  • Coordinate complex document preservation, collection, processing, review, and production activities with attorneys, clients, litigation support professionals, and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement discovery strategies, and proactively identify and resolve discovery-related issues.
  • Prepare discovery responses, privilege logs, and exhibit lists,.
  • Maintain organized case files and evidentiary materials in accordance with Firm policies, records management standards, and litigation best practices.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal support staff on litigation procedures, discovery processes, and technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 5+ย years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably supporting discovery in complex commercial, product liability, mass tort, or other large-scale litigation matters.
  • Demonstrated experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, and document productions.
  • Experience utilizing Technology-Assisted Discovery and document review platforms (e.g., Relativity or similar eDiscovery technologies) preferred.
  • Experience managing large document collections and coordinating discovery workflows across multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and effectively manage complex litigation assignments.
  • High degree of professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
