As a Licensed Remote Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one counseling sessions via video chat for adult clients experiencing emotional difficulties, ensuring they receive personalized care.
• Conducting initial screenings to confirm that clients presenting for sessions are clinically stable and within the appropriate acuity level for your services.
• Fostering open communication to help clients articulate their emotions and experiences, guiding them towards greater self-awareness and improved relationships.
• Assessing and diagnosing emotional or mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief, and stress-related issues.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans based on your clinical knowledge and expertise, utilizing evidence-based strategies and a solution-focused approach.
• Regularly tracking client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary, while teaching clients healthy coping mechanisms to enhance their well-being.

The patients you will serve include adults from diverse backgrounds facing various emotional challenges. To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Possessing one of the following independent licenses: LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
• Proficient computer literacy skills, enabling effective use of telehealth technologies and client management systems.
• Strong professional evaluation, decision-making, and recommendation skills critical for creating effective treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a caring, empathetic demeanor suitable for counseling roles.

While the above qualifications are required, applicants with experience in telehealth therapy, as well as familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), will be preferred. An understanding of digital privacy regulations and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in a telehealth setting are also essential.
