Position Overview

The South Coast Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide remote support to students and families within a school setting in Joliet, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in addressing and alleviating complex social and emotional issues that affect students, such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and parental substance abuse.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience in providing services to clients. You will engage primarily with students, parents, and educational staff to develop meaningful relationships that facilitate effective intervention and care. The remote nature of the work requires proficiency with digital communication tools to connect with clients, document sessions, and manage case notes securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients through phone or virtual consultations to gather relevant information regarding their situations.
• Provide crisis intervention services to address immediate concerns, ensuring clients receive necessary support during emergencies.
• Assist clients with accessing vital social services, both by guiding them directly and making the necessary referrals to external agencies.
• Involve clients in beneficial activities and programs that promote healing and engagement.
• Maintain immaculate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports to comply with clinical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and supervision sessions to enhance your clinical skills and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Education-focused outreach: Work closely with school staff to identify at-risk students and implement appropriate interventions.
• Stay informed about signs of child abuse and be vigilant in reporting and addressing these critical issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client population in this role primarily consists of school-aged children and their families, many of whom face significant emotional and social challenges. You will utilize your clinical skills to work with clients dealing with trauma, neglect, mental health disorders, and other pressing social issues, all within the context of a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, including active listening and empathy, particularly in high-stress situations.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with digital communication tools essential for remote work.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within school settings or with children and adolescents.
• Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention methods and strategies.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional compensation includes monthly productivity bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that encompasses:
