Job description

Job Responsibilities—

·        Providing leadership role in troubleshooting, investigation of production issues

·        Actively monitors, analyzes, suggests, and documents infrastructure processes with a focus on technology growth, performance, reliability, and security

·        Coordinating with clients, management team, application team’s data center and users

·        Working effectively as a team member with the cross-functional development and systems management disciplines to identify requirements and subsequently leading projects in the implementation of infrastructure solutions

Required Skills and Experience–

 

·        5+years plus System administration experience. 3+ with Linux (RHEL8)

·        Support of large number of systems, more than 250

·        Experience with Hardware Support and onsite support (assuming local)

·        Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, Perl)

·        Ability/willingness to participate in off hours support rotation

·        Some Experience with a using services from a cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)

·        Good communication (written and verbal) and time management skills

·        Understanding Networking technologies/tools and do network troubleshooting.

·        Experience in hardening systems and doing security remediation.

·        Operating System Configuration Tools

Desired Skills and Experience–
 

·        Experience with installing and maintaining IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ or Active MQ

·        Experience with LDAP using and or supporting LDAP.

·        Experience with support Linux systems running Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL , MySQL)

·        Experience with a Kubernetes Platform (OpenSource, OpenShift, etc)

·        Experience with running and maintaining containers

·        Advanced Experience with one or more Cloud provider

·        Experience with Exadata

·        Experience with Ansible

Customer Requirements

·        Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation

·        Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen

·        Location – Telework with on-site (Kingstowne, VA and/or Ashburn, VA) visits if mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area.
