A Remote Linux Device Driver Developer designs, develops, tests, and maintains device drivers for the Linux operating system while working remotely. Their main responsibility is to enable hardware devices, such as network cards or storage controllers, to communicate properly with Linux-based systems. This role involves writing low-level code in languages like C, debugging kernel modules, and collaborating with hardware and software engineers to ensure compatibility and performance. Remote work allows these developers to collaborate with teams worldwide using communication tools and version control systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Linux Device Driver Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Linux Device Driver Developer, you need strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, Linux kernel architecture, and hardware interface protocols, typically backed by a degree in computer science or related field. Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Enterprise Sales Engineer based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing technical sales role at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product strategy, supporting enterprise customers across Europe. You will act as the primary technical authority in the sales cycle, translating complex networking and infrastructure challenges into clear, value-driven solutions. The role combines deep technical expertise with commercial influence, where your ability to design architectures, build prototypes, and deliver compelling demonstrations directly impacts revenue outcomes. You will work closely with account teams to shape deal strategy while also engaging directly with senior customer stakeholders. Beyond pre-sales execution, you will influence product direction by bringing structured customer insights back to internal teams. This is a hands-on, high-ownership position suited for someone who thrives in complex technical environments and enjoys solving real-world enterprise challenges.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead all pre-sales technical activities for assigned enterprise accounts across Europe, acting as the key technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner closely with account executives to drive revenue growth by aligning technical solutions with customer business needs.
  • Design, build, and deliver high-impact demos, proof-of-concepts, dashboards, and solution architectures tailored to customer environments.
  • Use AI-driven tooling and rapid prototyping methods to showcase product value in real-world scenarios.
  • Develop technical proposals, BOMs, RFx responses, and solution designs that support and accelerate deal closure.
  • Act as the bridge between customers and internal product teams by capturing structured feedback and influencing roadmap direction.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations, technical workshops, and deep-dive sessions with enterprise stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at customer events, industry forums, and technical engagements as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical sales within enterprise networking, security, or infrastructure domains.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including wireline, security, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and real-world technical demonstrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, virtualization technologies, and enterprise-grade architectures.
  • Experience working with APIs, system integrations, data pipelines, and scripting (Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with SQL, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and enterprise data environments is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior technical and business decision-makers.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, self-driven approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's or MBA is a plus).
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives
  • Fully remote work within Europe with flexibility in working arrangements
  • Regional travel opportunities (up to 25%) for customer engagement and events
  • Clear career progression opportunities in a growing, high-impact organization
  • Flexible, high-performance work culture focused on autonomy and ownership
  • Comprehensive benefits package supporting health and well-being
  • Exposure to cutting-edge enterprise networking, AI, and data technologies
  • Opportunity to directly influence product direction and customer outcomes
