This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer based in Netherlands.

This role offers the opportunity to design, maintain, and improve enterprise Microsoft cloud environments within a technology-focused organization. You will be responsible for supporting critical infrastructure, optimizing cloud services, and driving automation across Microsoft platforms. The position combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, security practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work with modern Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID while collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced cloud engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving operational efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability, security, and scalability of enterprise digital services.

Accountabilities
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Manage users, groups, licenses, roles, permissions, and access configurations across Microsoft environments.
  • Maintain Microsoft Intune by configuring policies, device profiles, application protection, software deployments, and device enrollment processes.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication, Enterprise Applications, and Role-Based Access Control.
  • Support Azure infrastructure and compute resources, including Virtual Machines, networking, backups, monitoring, and Log Analytics.
  • Perform infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, incident analysis, and resource planning to ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Automate administrative tasks, reporting, and operational workflows using PowerShell.
  • Investigate incidents, analyze audit logs, and collaborate with Microsoft Support when required.
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and operational procedures to maintain accurate knowledge resources.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on security, automation, and cloud infrastructure optimization.
Requirements
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Azure environments within an enterprise setting.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, networking concepts, backup solutions, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Confident experience using PowerShell for automation, administration, and reporting.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of identity, access management, and cloud security principles.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions independently.
  • Strong documentation skills and a structured approach to technical operations.
  • English proficiency at B1+/B2 level or higher.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Defender, Hybrid Exchange, Active Directory, Entra Connect, ADFS, PKI, Azure DevOps, or Terraform is considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale enterprise Microsoft 365 environments is a plus.
