Job description

Amyx, Inc. is seeking Jr. Grants Analysts to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA), DHA Contracting Activity (DHACA), Grants Office. irs Office. The Grants Analysts serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Division Chief, DHACA. The Grants Analyst will have the ability to work independently, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The Analyst will be responsible for completing projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. On site at Fort Detrick location; remote option available.



Contractor shall assist ongoing government efforts and initiatives related to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) objective of developing and maintaining high-performing DHACA programs and projects across the Agency and Military Health System (MHS.)
• Provide direct support to the DHACA Grants Division for the timely award of Grants across the agency in support of the DHA Mission.
• Contractor shall accomplish and deliver compliant pre- and post-award documentation and/or grants documents IAW federal and DoD grants principles 2 CFR 200 and DoD Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures, as well as DHA policy guidance directives and instructions. This includes documents and activities related to all phases of the grants process.
• Assist in conducting grant award activities, to include collecting responsibility information; preparing award notices; distributing the award; processing requests for a debriefing.
• Assist in evaluating grant proposals in accordance with statute, regulation, policy, factors established as applicable.

• Assist in reviewing to consider the need to examine issues that may aid in achieving a clear and mutual understanding of grant requirements and identify and resolve potential problems.
• Review requirements for new or follow-on grants.
• Present, analyze and verify data, techniques, methodologies and formats associated with DHACA.
• Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Manage correspondence as necessary in support of projects and monitor task completion and follow up with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure correctness and adherence to DoD's and DHA's standards, policies, and procedures.
• Extend/observe military protocol.
• Other duties as assigned.


Required:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years or more of related experience as federal Government and/or Contractor employee in the GS-1102 or GS-1109 series or equivalent capacity as a grants management specialist/analyst or grants policy analyst.
• Knowledge or understanding of federal and DoD grants principles 2 CFR 200 and Department of Defense Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Knowledge or understanding of grants or assistance principles, laws regulation and procedures.
• Knowledge or understanding of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems.
• Familiarity with budget and/or federal cost principles.
• Familiarity with federal grant/contract writing systems..
• Proficient in use of SharePoint, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Desired:

Prior DoD, Military, or DHA experience as a Grants Specialist or Contract Analyst and GS-1102 or GS-1109 experience.
