Are you a dynamic learning and development professional ready to shape the executive experience at one of the nation's leading academic health systems?
UF Health HR Corporate is seeking an Executive Onboarding & Development Specialist/Advisor to join their team! They will be a strategic partner responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving onboarding and professional development programs for senior leaders and executives. This role serves as a trusted advisor and facilitator, ensuring that newly appointed executives are integrated effectively into the organization's culture, strategy, and leadership ecosystem accelerating time-to-productivity and long-term retention.
This position requires a sophisticated blend of executive coaching acumen, instructional design expertise, and organizational development knowledge, combined with the discretion and executive presence required to operate confidently at the C-suite level.
Responsibilities
  • Design and manage end-to-end onboarding experiences for C-suite, VP-level, and system director hires, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and culture, partnering with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure seamless pre-boarding and onboarding experience.
  • Develop customized 30-60-90-day onboarding roadmaps tailored to each executive's role, background, and business priorities, including stakeholder introductory meetings, cross-functional immersions, and strategic briefings to accelerate executive integration.
  • Design and facilitate leadership development programs, cohort experiences, and executive workshops aligned to the organization's leadership competency framework.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching support and developmental guidance to newly placed executives during the critical transition period, identifying development needs through assessments, 360-degree feedback, and stakeholder interviews, designing targeted interventions accordingly.
  • Partner with external executive coaches, facilitators, and leadership development vendors to enhance program offerings.
  • Collect and analyze program metrics, participant feedback, and retention data to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, benchmarking programs against industry best practices and emerging trends in executive integration and leadership development.
  • Maintain and update program materials, toolkits, and resources to ensure content remains current and relevant.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, helping executives understand and embody the organization's values, norms, and ways of working, building strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and HR stakeholders to proactively identify integration challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, or a closely related field. Master's degree in similar fields preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in talent development, leadership development, HR, or a related field, with at least 2 years focused on executive-level populations.
    1. Experience with psychometric and leadership assessment tools (e.g., Hogan, EQ-i 2.0, DiSC, CliftonStrengths) preferred.

License/Certifications (if applicable):
  • Preferred - Certification in executive or professional coaching (ICF-ACC or higher, CCL, or equivalent).

Additional Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating executive onboarding or leadership development programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage credibly and confidently with senior executives.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives under tight timelines.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professional judgment. Proficiency with HRIS platforms, LMS systems, and collaboration tools (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft 365).
