Job description

SourcePro Search has a great opportunity for an experienced Patent Agent in our large law firm client's Life Sciences Practice. This role is remote flexible and can be based from Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Charlotte or Austin. This role offers a high base salary and bonus potential as well as excellent benefits.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience and an advanced degree in Organic Chemistry is preferred. Must be registered with the US Patent and Trademark office and prior law firm experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting patent applications
  • Managing domestic and international portfolios
  • Preparing responses to Office Actions
  • Corresponding with foreign associates
  • Formulating search strategies
  • Analyzing patents in connection with due diligence or freedom to operate analyses, and evaluating patentable subject matter
  • Performs any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned by your supervisor for efficient functioning of the Department, Office and Firm
