Job description

Civeo Canada Employees LP is seeking a Coordinator, Contractor Audit & Compliance to support and strengthen contractor compliance, workforce competency, training assurance, and operational compliance programs across our operations.

Reporting within the Operational Excellence framework, this position plays a key role in ensuring contractors, employees, and operational processes meet regulatory requirements, client expectations, company standards, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will provide oversight of contractor management systems, Prime Contractor obligations, compliance audits, competency verification, and continuous improvement initiatives that help reduce risk and support safe, efficient operations.

Working collaboratively with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Procurement, and Contractor Management teams, the Coordinator will promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and operational excellence across Civeo's remote worksites.

This position operates on a rotational schedule of 15 days on / 13 days off, based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and monitor contractor compliance and contractor management programs across Civeo operations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, assessments, and field verifications to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable legislation.
  • Verify contractor onboarding requirements, training records, certifications, and competency documentation.
  • Support Civeo's Prime Contractor responsibilities through oversight of contractor safety, environmental, quality, and operational compliance activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate competency management, workforce development, and training assurance programs.
  • Deliver training and provide coaching, guidance, and support to operational leaders and site teams.
  • Track compliance metrics, audit findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead compliance reviews against corporate policies, Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), client requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of operational standards, procedures, and SWIs.
  • Analyze compliance and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for leadership teams.
  • Assist with incident investigations, assurance reviews, special projects, and organizational improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, Quality Assurance, Operations Management, Training & Development, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in compliance, contractor management, safety, quality assurance, workforce competency, training management, or operational leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and contractor oversight activities.
  • Strong understanding of contractor management systems, Prime Contractor obligations, occupational health and safety legislation, and compliance programs.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or supporting competency, training, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems, auditing platforms, and HSE systems such as Myosh.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in dynamic operational and remote-site environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CRSP, NCSO, CHSC, Internal/Lead Auditor Training, Adult Education, or similar credentials are considered strong assets.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly to remote operational sites as required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
