This remote position allows counselors to work from home while remaining an integral part of a vibrant team of professionals. You will engage in regular virtual interactions with other mental health providers, medical professionals, and support staff, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care. Although the role is predominantly remote, you may also be required to be flexible with your availability during peak periods, including occasional evening hours to accommodate patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to thoroughly evaluate the mental health needs of patients and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention for patients facing various challenges, providing immediate support and guidance when it is most needed.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops focused on mental health topics, fostering a sense of community among participants and encouraging open dialogue.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the community health clinic, including medical, nursing, and patient support services, to ensure holistic care that addresses all aspects of patient wellness.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness within the community and promoting available services through workshops and events.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols while maintaining thorough and accurate clinical documentation, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population consisting of individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, each presenting unique mental health needs. • Active state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals.
• A thorough understanding of evidence-based practices and a solid grasp of brief therapy models that are particularly effective in a community health setting.
• The capacity to multitask and handle a varied caseload within a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care effectively.

• At least three years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within a community health or hospital setting.
• Previous involvement in mental health outreach and education initiatives is highly desirable.
