Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing culturally sensitive methods to understand the unique backgrounds and needs of each patient.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic interventions combined with an understanding of cultural context.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting resilience and enhancing the overall mental well-being of patients.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care that integrates various treatment modalities.
• Provide crisis intervention services and support patients facing mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills to stabilize situations and facilitate safe resolutions.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that can support their journey to wellness.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation in compliance with the legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment adjustments, and ongoing professional development.
• Engage in continuous learning about best practices and current research regarding mental health therapy and cultural considerations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant families. Our practice prioritizes the ability to connect with and understand the complexities of these unique communities, delivering therapeutic care that is both effective and respectful.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid license as an LIMFT, LPCC, or LISW in the state of Nevada.
• Thorough knowledge of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment approaches in diverse settings.
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive techniques.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing successful rapport-building with a wide range of individuals.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various digital communication tools.
• A commitment to maintaining professional ethical guidelines and confidentiality.
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Experience working specifically with multicultural populations and a demonstrated understanding of their unique mental health needs.
