• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' therapeutic needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions for families, couples, and individuals, employing tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care and treatment integration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay abreast of advancements in mental health practice and research.

The counselor in this role will work primarily with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. A strong emphasis is placed on providing services to individuals and families with limited access to mental health resources. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license (LPC) to practice as a Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in a counseling environment, ideally within a clinical context.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards pertinent to mental health practice.
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills to effectively establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.

• Specialization in clinical areas such as family therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
• Experience using various therapeutic modalities and methodologies that foster effective client engagement.

• The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 to $90,000 per year, reflecting the counselor's experience and availability.
