Legal Practice Development Director, Americas

Purpose Statement

sa.global has established a successful Legal Industry business in the UK, with a growing customer base and a proven legal industry solution. The Americas represents the largest legal software market globally and a significant growth opportunity for the business.

The Legal Practice Development Director, Americas is responsible for building and scaling sa.global's Legal Industry presence across Unites States and Canada. The role will lead market development, establish strategic industry partnerships, build executive relationships across the legal sector, and drive the growth of the Legal practice in alignment with the global Legal Industry strategy.

Working closely with the Global Legal Industry Leader, this role will help transfer and scale the success achieved in other markets to the United States and Canada while shaping sa.global's long-term position within the legal industry

Position Overview

The Legal Practice Development Director, Americas will lead the expansion of sa.global's Legal Industry business across the United States and Canada.

Building on the success already achieved in the UK and other markets, the role will focus on establishing sa.global's market presence in the Americas, developing strategic partnerships, building executive relationships across the legal sector, and driving the growth of the Legal practice. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, product, partnerships, and delivery to strengthen sa.global's position in the world's largest legal software market.

The role reports to the Global Legal Industry Leader, with a dotted-line relationship to the Americas Managing Director to ensure alignment between the global Legal Industry strategy and regional business objectives.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Industry Strategy

Develop and execute the Americas Legal Industry growth strategy aligned with sa.global's global Legal Industry vision.

Identify priority market segments, growth opportunities, industry trends, and emerging market needs.

Contribute to the long-term development and positioning of the Legal Industry practice across the Americas.

Provide strategic input to regional and global leadership on market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and industry developments.

2. Partnerships & Alliances

Develop and manage strategic relationships with Microsoft and key legal technology partners.

Identify, establish, and grow partnerships that strengthen sa.global's position within the legal ecosystem.

Build a network of industry advisors, influencers, associations, referral partners, and technology providers.

Work with partners to create joint go-to-market opportunities and accelerate business growth.

3. Market Development

Establish and expand sa.global's presence within the United States and Canada legal sector.

Build executive-level relationships with managing partners, legal operations leaders, CFOs, CIOs, and other senior stakeholders within law firms.

Drive awareness of sa.global's Legal Industry capabilities, solutions, and value proposition.

Identify and engage strategic target accounts and key market influencers.

Support the development of client reference programs and market success stories.

4. Solution Development

Work closely with Product, Delivery, and Legal Industry leadership to evolve industry-specific solutions and offerings.

Provide market insight and client feedback to influence solution development and go-to-market strategies.

Help identify gaps, opportunities, and innovation areas within the Legal Industry portfolio.

Support the development of repeatable industry solutions, messaging, and value propositions.

5. Thought Leadership

Represent sa.global at legal industry events, conferences, webinars, and professional forums.

Contribute to industry content, market positioning, client success stories, and thought leadership initiatives.

Serve as an ambassador for sa.global within the legal community.

Maintain visibility within the legal ecosystem and support the development of sa.global's industry reputation.

6. Sales & Growth

Drive pipeline creation, client acquisition, and revenue growth across the Legal Industry practice.

Support strategic opportunity pursuit and executive-level client engagement.

Collaborate with regional sales teams, Microsoft, and partners to expand market opportunities.

Develop business cases, proposals, presentations, and commercial strategies for strategic opportunities.

Provide accurate pipeline updates, forecasts, and growth plans to leadership.

Support commercial negotiations and successful transition from sales to delivery.
